Vintage Rose Champagne

Vintage Rose Champagnes or Pink Champagnes, undergo the same process as their non vintage siblings, the only difference being that the blend of wines used are all from the same vintage (year) and the champagne is aged for a minimum of five years in the cellars.

As a rosé champagne ages the colour will change from a reddish blue when young, orange at 12-15 years and to an amber at twenty years.

Rosé vintage champagnes of note are the Dom Pérignon Rosé 1998 scoring 96/100 in tastings and the Belle Epoque Rosé 1999 scoring 92/100 in tastings.
